DR. BRUCE COYLE
Interim Pastor
Dr. Bruce Coyle graduated from Union University in
Jackson, Tennessee and is a graduate of the Southern
Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.
Dr. Coyle is retired from Carson-Newman College,
where he served as Vice-President for Advancement
and Executive Assistant to the President. He has
been an active pastor of Southern Baptist churches
for thirty-five years. He has served as Interim Pastor
at seventeen churches. He most recently served as
Interim Pastor at the First Baptist Church in Dandridge,
Tennessee.
Dr. Coyle is married to Joan Barber Coyle and has
three sons and seven grandchildren.

GORDON ALFORD
Associate Pastor
of Music & Worship
Rev. Gordon Alford has served Valley Grove as Minister
of Music and Worship since October 2002. He has a
Bachelor of Church Music degree from William Carey
College in Hattisburg, Mississippi and over 30 years
of music experience. His wife, Donna, is a talented
pianist. They have three children, Christopher, Donya,
and Lacey.

CHAD RITTENHOUSE
Associate
Pastor of Education & Outreach
Dr. Chad Rittenhouse has served Valley Grove as the
Minister of Education and Outreach since January
2001.
He graduated from Southeastern Baptist Theological
Seminary with both a Masters of Divinity with Languages
degree and a Doctor of Ministry degree. He and his
wife, Paige, are the parents of Allie and Carly.

Rev. Jeff Spangler has served on the Ministerial
Staff of Valley Grove since January 2003. He is
currently
an Associate Pastor, Administration/Senior Adults.
He is a graduate of Southern Baptist
Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. He
and his wife, Kim, are the parents of Jake and Mark.
